Ben McLeod, MD

Ben was appointed Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at MRC in October 2007. In this role he was responsible for product marketing / management, marketing communications, demand generations and new opportunity development for MRC’s portfolio of microwave communications solutions.

From 2001 until his appointment at MRC, he held a number of marketing leadership positions at Enterasys Networks, a developer of enterprise class network and security products. During this time Ben held senior roles in Product Marketing, Worldwide Field Marketing and Security Solutions Marketing. From 1999 to 2001 Ben was Director of Product Marketing at Indus River Networks [link to www.indusriver.com], a venture capital funded developer of Virtual Private Networks. Enterasys Networks acquired Indus River in 2001.

He led the product management team responsible for small & medium business Remote Access Server products at Compaq Computer Corporation from 1997 to 1999.

From 1993 to 1997 Ben held a number of Marketing and Engineering management positions at CrossComm Corporation, a developer of routers and networks management applications for corporate clients. Early in his career he held Engineering positions at Bytex Corporation in Massachusetts, and Amdahl Corporation in California and Ireland.

Ben has supported numerous voluntary and charitable organizations, and was a board member of the Irish Networking Society of Boston from 1997 to 2000.

Ben is an Engineering graduate of University College Dublin and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Babson College in Massachusetts.
